Overview

The Olight Seeker 4 Mini comes with an option of a high performance cool white LED or a neutral white LED, in addition to a UV light and is powered by a single customized 1100mAh 18350 rechargeable lithium battery with a maximum output of 1200 lumens.

Specification

High output will run at 1200 lumens for 3 minutes before dropping down to 600 lumens with an additional run time of 41 minutes – this is to prevent the LED from overheating, it will then drop down to 120 lumens, with a further run time of 25 minutes.

Key Features

Beam Quality

Excellent beam quality as will all the Olight torches that I’ve tested.

The UV light is useful in a variety of settings, from detecting things such as pet urine stains to fake bank notes.

Charging

Charging occurs via Olight’s signature magnetic charging cable – the magnet is strong enough to easily attract the charging base by moving the tail of the torch close to the charging pad.

There is a standard USB on the other end that can be used with any USB plug or portable battery.

The magnetic pad on the cable has a charging light next to it that lights up red when charging and green once fully charged and it takes 3.1 hours to fully charge the battery from flat.

Power Button & Modes

The power button is located on the side of the torch and is slightly raised, making it very easy to locate – even in the dark.

A single short press switches the torch on and another single short press switches it off.

To cycle through the modes, switch the torch on and then hold down the power button – this will cycle through modes 2-4 (600 – 120 – 15 lumens).

Double tap the power button while the torch is on will activate level 1 (1200/600/120 lumens).

Level 5 (2 lumens, moonlight mode) is achieved by holding down the power button for one second, while the torch is off.

There is also a strobe mode which can be triggered by triple tapping the power button.

Double tapping the power button while the torch is off will activate the UV light.

To lock the torch the power button should be pressed for 1-2 seconds while the torch is off, the process should be repeated to unlock it again.

The Seeker 4 Mini also features a battery level indicator:

• Green: >60% battery power
• Orange: 10-60% battery power
• Red: <10% battery power

Body

The body has a textured pattern that gives a very firm grip – even if your hands are wet, you won’t find the torch slipping.
