One may be forgiven for thinking that camping is a recreation that is best left for the warmer months… However, I beg to differ.
There’s nothing quite like a beautiful landscape in winter with the frost on the ground and the fresh winter air.
Too often we are caught up in the endless cycle of day to day life – where even our rest time is packed with endless pursuits and things that need to be done.
Camping in summer is very popular and campsites can get very busy and crowded – whereas, most campsites in winter will not be very busy at all and give the opportunity to relax in the stillness of your own thoughts.
Winter camping in tents will revive your spirits and reconnect you with the wonders of nature – it will help to alleviate those stresses and put that oomph back into your life!
It’s also good for your health… now, I know what you’re thinking… this guy is nuts, cold weather gives you colds! But hear me out – germs actually thrive in indoor environments, where we are more likely to be in contact and breathing the same air as people who maybe carrying them – whereas, breathing in fresh air out in the open, where there are a lot less people, is sure to keep you safe from those nasty bugs.
Conclusion
So as you can see, winter camping has many benefits.
